A-Star achieves 1 lakh milestone
Maruti Suzuki India has rolled out 1,00,000 units of the A-Star. According to R.C.Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India, the car is doing well in the export market and the company is planning to export over 75,000 units of the A-Star by the end of this fiscal.
Bhargava also revealed that Nissan has increased its order of Maruti’s small car to 54,000 units for the current fiscal from 30,000 units. The A-Star is sold in the European market by Nissan with the branding Pixo. The country’s largest car manufacturer claims to have already exported over 50,000 units of the A-Star.
