Latest Honda ad - brilliant!!!

Honda is one of the best ad making automotive firms in the world for sure. Now they have come out with yet another brilliant ad where 19 skydivers make formations, one after another to form the five letters of the word Honda. The film was shot in real time. Honda's latest slogan is 'Difficult is worth doing'. The current soft ad film which is sure to catch the fantasy of net-savvy users, just like the earlier cog ad, will help the company a lot. Difficult, really is worth doing. Bravo, Honda!

Pagani Zonda Cinque - The next Pagani Supercar

The Italian supercar maker, Pagani, is planning to build a race version of the Zonda F called the Zonda R.The Race version of the car will be called the Pagani Zonda Cinque.
The Pagani Zonda Cinque, which translates as Zonda Five because there will be only 5 built ever, takes an already breath-takingly fast car to yet another level. Nothing has been officially revealed yet, but we expect the engine to remain similar to the one in the Zonda F. But how much more power can be extracted of the 6.0 liter, 12 cylinder, 750 bhp engine is something that remains to be seen. Expect a price tag of 1 million Euro!

Turbo 1.4 petrol for the Punto

The Fiat Punto is slated to get a turbo 1.4 mill producing 155 bhp under its bonnet. The name Punto Turbo is also a clear sign the car is aimed for production. Fiat has always had a tradition of preparing turbo variants of its cars. There also may come an Abarth version in South America, fitted probably with the 1.9-litre engine. Well, we'd love that engine too, to be turbo charged, but that's something that may not actually materialise.

Fiesta hatchback and sedan confirmed for the US marker

The new Fiesta will be produced in Mexico and will be sold to the entire South American market. Ford has made its obvious decision official in the presence of Alan Mulally, Ford CEO, and the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa.
While the production of the new car in Mexico was just an official announcement of a known news, the fact that the hatchback version of the car will also be sold in the USA, is something that we didn't know earier. While the hatch version will offer some competition to the Mini, the decision was made as the hatch body style is popular in Brazil and Mexico, and it wouldn't cost Ford anything extra to offer the car in the US as well.
The sedan version of the car is inspired by the Verve concept shown at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show.

Freed - Honda's new Jazz/fit based minivan

The new Honda Feed shares its platform with the Honda Jazz/Fit and is capable of carrying up to 8 people. Since the Honda Fit will be made in Brazil, Honda is expected to use the Freed to expand its market in the country. Knowing that the Chevrolet Zafira that carries 7 people is the only other minivan in Brazil, should give the plan a further boost.
If priced properly, the Freed would be a great minivan option. The car shares its 1.5-litre VTEC engine with the Fit, is 4.22 m long, 1.72 m tall and 1.70 m wide and has a long wheelbase of 2.74 m. The Japanese version of the car is designed to carry 5, 7 or 8 people. The luggage space increases as the people carrying capacity decreases. In Brazil, the car would certainly be offered in its 7 or 8 seater version.

Ferrari California - latest pictures with roof up, latest specs!

These are the latest photos of the hottest new Ferrari on the block - the California, in the hard top guise. Additional bits of info include the size of the car and some other details.
The California is 4560mm long, somewhere between an Aston Martin V8 Vantage and DB9. But at 1900mm this GT is wider than both the British cars. It's 48mm longer but 23mm narrower Than the F430.
The two piece metal roof folds in 14 seconds flat. The boot volume is 360-litre but reduces to 260-litres once the roof is folded.
The car, as we told you earlier as well, has a 4.3-litre V8, producing 454bhp at 7500rpm and a 0-62mph time of less than 4.0sec. This is made possible via a new and advanced launch control system. With a 21.4mpg fuel efficiency figure, this'll be the most fuel efficient Ferrari of the current lineup

New Chevrolet Spark / Matiz spied

The next generation Chevrolet Spark is undergoing testing, and has been spied by worldcarfans.com. The new car, codenamed M300, GMDAT-M and 'Global Mini' has been caught testing under the disguised body of the old Spark. We think that the machinery under the skin will find place under a new body style.
You can clearly see the differing cut lines at the rear wheel arch and the bolted on front fascia with a more bulging hood. The new car will be hitting the market by the end of 2009. GM will build the car in its brand new facility in Talegaon, near Pune in India.
Speculation is also ride that the Beat concept, shown last year may just replace the Matiz/Spark altogether.

Audi's 2012 engine lineup leaked!

Audi's 2012 engine line-up is leaked! Audiblog.nl has broguth out the info. We are not sure about the authenticity of the the info, but you can have a good look to get a fair idea of what your model of Audi in 2012 will be equipped with! Here's the info on all the new Audi engines of the future, courtesy worldcarfans.com

Audi A1

In addition to the current 1.4 TFSI engines, the A1 will also receive a new 63kW (86hp) entry level 1.2-liter TFSI which is most likely based on the 70hp 1.2-liter engine that was recently shown in the new SEAT Ibiza at the Madrid Motor Show last week.

Audi S4 (B8)

The sports version of the current generation A4 will see the 4.2-liter V8 from the B7 generation get dropped, and instead, return to its B5 roots with the all new 245kW (333hp) 3.0-liter V6 bi-turbo TFSI. Available in Avant form as well as sedan, the S4 will be available in 6-speed manual transmission or double-clutch 7-speed S-tronic.

Audi S5

The Audi S5 coupe will keep its 4.2-liter V8 for now, but starting in September 2010 the bi-turbo 3.0-liter TFSI V6 as seen in the S4 will replace it. Despite the horsepower reduction from the V8's 260kW (354hp) versus the V6's 245kW (333hp), it's possible the weight savings as well as lower center of gravity of the smaller engine compensates for the reduction in output.

Audi RS5

We've already seen the RS5 acknowledged in the 2012 roll out schedule, but this document gives us a bit more. Using the same 4.2-liter V8 in the current S5, the RS5 gets a massive 70kW (96hp) bump from 260kW (354hp) to 331kW (450hp). Such an increase suggests some turbo charging shenanigans are going on, as previously speculated, however, only the 7-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission will be available. The RS5 hits market in July 2010.

Audi A5/S5 Sportback
The A5 Sportback will be available with 1.8 TFSI to the 3.2FSI for the petrol and 2.0 TDI to the 3.0 TDI for diesels plus all of their variants in between. However, completely unmentioned by the 2012 roll out schedule, is an S5 Sportback which receives the new 3.0-liter bi-turbo TFSI in either 6-speed manual or S-tronic7. September 2010 is the launch date.

Audi A7 Sportback

We have heard of the all new A7 model in coupe and cabriolet form, but this leaked document brings to our eyes for the first time the A7 Sportback. With only petrol and diesel V6 engines available from June 2010, a new 8 speed automatic transmission will be introduced on the 3.0-liter TDI model which launches in November 2010.

Audi S7 Sportback
Here's the blockbuster. The S7 Sportback breaks cover in November 2010, but it does not receive the 3.0-liter bi-turbo TFSI engine found in the future S4 and S5 models. Instead this baby gets an all new 4.0-liter TFSI producing 290 kW (394hp) with S-tronic7.

Audi A8 (D4)
The next generation A8 hits the market six months earlier than stated by the 2012 roll out schedule. Same V8 engines are retained and new 8 speed automatic transmission is added.

Audi R8 Spyder

Hoping for a debut at this past Detroit Auto Show, the R8 Targa or Spyder was absent. Instead we saw the R8 V12 TDI Concept debut. However, according to this leaked document the 5.2-liter V10, which was recently spotted with it's engine in view, will be available in both Coupe and Spyder variants making 386 kW (525hp). The R8 coupe launches in June 2009 and the Spyder in March 2010, both with the R-tronic sequential gearbox.

New 2009 Yamaha VMAX - more pictures and info

These are some more pictures of the new Yamaha Vmax - due to be launched on June 4. The exact power output of the 1800cc monster V4 under the tank is speculated to be 210bhp – almost 70bhp more the power churned out by the first Vmax (1984).
The all-new 70-degree V4 will also supposedly feature an advanced VTEC system. Other tech-bits include a sophisticated ride-by-wire system. At more than 22K dollars, however, the new Vmax wont be cheap by any means. Stick around for more pictures and details.

Clarkson’s frivolous 186mph on London Streets provokes panic mongers!

Some road safety groups have foolishly asked the BBC to fire the celebrity motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson after his recent claims of doing 186mph on a road in London. Clarkson also claimed that speed limits in the city are annoying for most people. The request by the road safety groups is stupid, because Jeremy was just being frivolous. These campaigners of safety didn’t have enough intelligence to figure that 186mph in London is not possible. Especially as the average speed is 4mph.

Aprilia RSV4 road bike - First Pictures!

These are the first pictures of an almost fully-finished Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle in its road-going guise.
Aprilia took the wraps off the 1000cc, V-4 engined superbike it plans to race in the World Superbike Championship in the 2009 season in February. The race version of Aprilia's first ever 4-cylinder engine is claimed to make 207 horsepower. The new bike will make its road debut by the end of 2008. The compact four-cylinder 65 degree V engine produces its peak power at 13,500rpm and uses a computer controlled fly-by-wire system similar to that found in the recent R1 and R6 Yamahas for controlling power output and traction.

2009 Yamaha VMAX first official pictures!

Motorcyclenews.com has revealed the first ever pictures of the 2009 Yamaha VMAX. The website has managed to pull an exclusive before the Japanese company could officially unveil the bike on 4th June.
No concrete details of the bike have been revealed yet, but the site speculates that the bike will possibly be the world's hardest accelerating production bike. And by doing that, the bike will regain the title its predecessor once held in 1984. The bike will have a massive V4 under the huge tank, good enough to propel the machine across a quarter mile distance in less than 10 seconds. The massive engine is expected to have at least 1800cc of cubic capacity and produce at least 200bhp.

Biker Bush? US Prez gets the honorary membership of the Rolling Thunder group

American President George Bush was given honorary membership into the Rolling Thunder. The group's annual "Ride for Freedom" event witnessed thousands of participants parading through the main streets of US capital. The leaders of the biking group presented Bush the vest in honor of their 21st Memorial Day ride at White House.
Bush said that it was a magnificent sight to see the bikers parading through the streets of the city. "We just choppered in, and saw our brothers and sisters cranking up their machines and driving through the nation's capital -- many of them have got the flag on the back," Bush said.
"And I am just so honored to welcome you back. I want to thank you and all your comrades for being so patriotic and loving our country as much as you do. And our troops appreciate you, the veterans appreciate you and your president appreciates you," said a particularly enthusiastic Bush.

Robbie Knievel breaks his father's record by jumping his bike 200-foot

Who doesn't know Evel Knievel - the legendary bike stunter. Now Robbie 'Kaptain' Knievel, his son, has broken his dad's record by jumping his bike 200-foot over 24 buses. Evel Knievel had once jumped 115 feet over 14 buses at Kings Island in 1975. Robbie too achieved the feat at Kings Island amusement park near Cincinnati. "Hopefully I'll see you after the jump," Knievel told the crowd before he climbed the start ramp. Robbie Knievel dedicated his stunt to his father, U.S. war veterans and those serving in the military.
Robbie Knievel is 46 years old now, and is considering a future attempt at jumping the Snake River Canyon on the Snake River near Twin Falls - a feat his father failed at in 1974.

Yamaha - Deus Ex Machina - the futuristic two wheelers

Jake Loniak, a student at Art Center Pasadena, guided by Professor Bumsuk Lim, has come out with a convention shattering idea of what a two-wheeler could look like. Christened Deus Ex Machina (meaning God Out of a Machine) the vehicle design represents something that’s a cross between a motorcycle and a wearable ‘Matrix’ style machine.
The new design features seven artificial vertebrae, thirty-six pneumatic muscles and a head of its own. The Yamaha branded concept looks somewhat like a new character out of the Transformers movie. The concept is designed to move the front wheels outwards as speed increases. Hybrid power packs from Doped Nano Phosphate batteries will power the in-wheel electric motors. The machine is said to have a capability to accelerate to 60mph in 3 seconds flat, with a top speed of 75 mph. We don’t think the concept will make it to production in near future, but it remains a fantastic exercise in design without doubt.

Sixth Generation VW Golf to be offered with a cabriolet option?

The next generation VW Golf is expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. If that doesn't happen, the car will first appear at the 2009 Geneva Show. The Golf VI, as the range is being called will most likely bring back the cabriolet version of the car. The news is spilled by MotorAuthority.com which has brought out the images as well as some info of the new generation Golf.
Engine options will include a 2.0 TFSI engine producing more than 260 bhp. A new, 1.6-litre TFSI producing 200 bhp is also on the cards. The base model of the new range will be powered by the 1.4 TFSI mill. A naturally aspirated mill may also appear, though the chances are bleak. Diesel options will include a modern Bluemotion mill and an electric-hybrid option as well.
The new range of cars has been designed by Walter de Silva and will be available in three and five door versions. In the GTI trim the car may get a glass roof

New Renault Laguna Coupe - latest pictures and specs

These are the first pictures of the long-awaited Renault Laguna coupe. The production car has a higher roofline and bootlid and is somewhat sobered down in terms of styling when compared to the concept. The shape of the coupe is totally different from the model's hatch version. The front features stylish, Aston-esque single piece intake. At the rear the narrow LED's have materialized on the production version from the concept.
The existing engines of the cars will be retained and two new mills be offered, one diesel and one petrol. The 3.0-litre diesel produces 235bhp and about 450Nm (332b ft) of torque. The 3.5-litre petrol V6 pushes out 240bhp and about 330 Nm (244lb ft) of turning force. The petrol V6 is the quickest engine of the lot, and should be able to propel the car from 0-60mph in less than 7 seconds.
The prices are expected to start at around £22,000, going up to around £27,000. The car is due to be launched at the Paris motor show in October.

Adrian Sutil misses 4th position by a whisker – Hamilton takes the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton and Mclaren have won the 2008 Monaco Grand Prix. BMW's Kubica came in 2nd place ahead of Ferrari's Massa. In a partially wet race, Lewis once managed to pass Raikkonen to take 2nd place behind Massa. However, on the 5th lap his Mclaren’s right rear tyre got punctured.
The pit stop that ensued was a blessing in disguise for Hamilton. His car was filled with fuel for a very long run and it worked out really well for the Brit. Lewis built a lead of about 40 seconds before his second and final pit-stop ahead of Kubica.
The best drive of the day was exhibited by Force India driver Adrian Sutil. Who managed to get to fourth position before being getting eliminated owing to a contact with Kimi.
Lewis Hamilton now leads the drivers’ championship from Kimi Raikkonen by 3 points. However, Ferrari Still has a lead of 16 points over McLaren.
