Can Hamilton be richer than Schumacher?
Lewis Hamilton is reportedly in talks with Reebok for a USD20 million deal. The speedster is on the verge of overtaking David Beckham as Britain’s richest sportsman. Rumours are rife that at this pace, it won’t take Hamilton long before he overtakes the all-time great Schumacher too in terms of net earnings.
McLaren historically hasn’t been too kind with its drivers who sign personal sponsorship deals, but team boss Ron Dennis is far kinder in Hamilton’s case. Hamilton has already signed a USD 140 million deal with McLaren. He also has deals with global majors like Tag Heuer, Boss clothing, Mobil oil and several others.
